Solar Drift
Solar Drift is an original, kinetic statement piece centered on the dialogue between light, texture, and shifting perception. Created as part of the Shifting Reality collection, this work challenges static viewing by transforming continuously as the collector moves throughout the room.
At the center lies a sculpted, tactile field executed with high-relief vertical channels. With its vivid yellow and deep saturated pink, the core creates a striking optical shift: an approach from the left reveals an energetic solar radiance, while the right perspective yields an intense, ember-like magenta. Viewed head-on, both colors interlock into an active, fiery field.
Surrounding the focal point is a cool, restrained slate-blue border to offset the energetic center. Hand-painted geometric lines—rendered in alternating bands of matte and gloss varnish—quietly catch ambient light, offering an architectural layer of discovery that rewards close observation.
